How to reset a user's password in the Google Admin console

This procedure is for Google Workspace Admin console administrators.

Here are all the steps to reset a user's password. If you prefer, you can also follow the video we recorded for you.

Access the Google Workspace Console > Users Menu > Select the User > Reset password.

The password can be temporary or automatically generated by Google.

Users who wish to change their temporary password can do so during their first login.

As a Console administrator, you will always be able to support users who forget their passwords.
