How to enable 2-Step Verification for Google Workspace users

This procedure is for end users

Here is the procedure to activate two-factor verification (procedure for end users).

 

Log in to your Google account at myaccount.google.com

> in the left menu Security and access > In the center section under How you sign in to Google, select 2-Step Verification > Get Started.

Follow the on-screen instructions to add one of these options:

  • Phone number with code sharing. A Google approval request will be sent to the specified mobile phone.
  • Security key passkey to be connected to the PC.
  • Google Authenticator (Recommended) generates 30-second one-time verification codes. If you haven't already, you can download the app from the following links:

iOS/iPhone e iPad (Apple App Store) Google Authenticator on App Store

Open Google Authenticator and click on the + symbol at the bottom right.

Click Scan a QR code and point your camera at the code generated by your Google account.

The app will generate a time-based one-time verification code every 30 seconds to complete the login process.
